In the history of Ayurveda education, SFI failed to reach upto the expectation of Ayurvedic students and had to face a mass protest by the Ayurvedic students in objection to the previously mentioned Govt. order. Over 2000 students from 16 Ayurveda colleges of Kerala participated in the march by making it a historic event. The march was started peacefully from Gandhi Park by 11.00AM and when reached to the secretariat, police charged on the students, injuring 10 students. By evening, SFI unit members of all Ayurveda Colleges resigned from the SFI. Protest against the brutality of police and cowardliness of SFI state leaders by giving publicity to the campaign against the wild rule.
